Imaging is not routine and it is not taken to fill a file. Digital X-ray is used when your history and examination raise a question that images can answer, such as alignment, degenerative change or a suspected structural problem. Images are captured digitally, so they are available for review during your visit.

How the evaluation works
Your chiropractor takes a history and examines you first. Imaging is ordered only when the examination indicates it, and you are told why it is being recommended before anything is taken.

Images are captured digitally at the clinic and reviewed with you. Your chiropractor explains what the images show in plain language, what it means for your options and what it does not tell us.
What a first visit may involve
If imaging is clinically indicated at your first visit, it is taken and reviewed as part of that appointment. If it is not indicated, it is not taken.
Safety and when to seek other care
X-rays use ionising radiation, so they are only taken when the clinical benefit justifies it. Tell your provider if you are or may be pregnant. Imaging supports an examination; it does not replace one, and we do not diagnose from an image alone.
Questions patients ask
Will I definitely need an X-ray?
No. Imaging is only taken when your examination shows it is clinically indicated, and the reason is explained to you first.
Do you take the images at the clinic?
Yes, digital imaging is available on site, so images can be reviewed with you during your visit.
Can I bring imaging I already have?
Please do. Previous imaging and reports often mean new images are unnecessary.
